Background
As one of the largest and truly independent e-government discussion communities in the UK, Public Sector Forums (PSF) has an enviable reputation for incisive critique and challenging debate on all e-government issues. Live Expertise is proud to have provided PSF with tools, services and support since the community was founded in 2001. When, in 2006, PSF decided that the existing website had grown to a point where managing the volume of information within it was becoming impossible, Live Expertise asked to deliver a new accessible web site complete with a better information management model.

Solution
Live Expertise used PSF's existing Live Ultimate solution to provide a content management framework to drive the new website, allowing content to flow automatically into the site based on classification. Automatic creation of relationships between items of content ensures the site is easy to manage, and the user experience is structured in a consistent manner.
Our in-house designers created a fresh new presentation for the website, using the latest techniques to promote accessibility, while maintaining a clean contemporary feel. At the same time, our engineers created the information architecture to underpin the site working closely with staff at the PSF.
Using a range of Ultimate components such as Discussion Forums, Public User Management, Personalisation, and Hosting, the new site provides a key part of the online and face-to-face infrastructure needed to operate the Public Sector Forums.
